This “SKY PerfecTV! User’s Guide” is full of the information necessary to enjoy the SKY PerfecTV! services to the full, incorporating the registration procedure and channel line-up, the introduction to the valuable “Packs & Sets” and the registration method for the same. This guide is very useful for filling in the application form or making changes.

What is SKY PerfecTV! HD?
A service that allows you to enjoy 50 + high definition and 277 standard definition channels using a SKY PerfecTV! HD-enabled tuner.
By Spring 2010, more than 70 channels are available in high definition service. SKY PerfecTV! continues to add 10 + HD channels later!

To enjoy SKY PerfecTV! HD, SKY PerfecTV! HD-compatible tuner is required.
If you use a Sky Perfect! Standard Definition (SD) dedicated tuner, you cannot view high definition channels.
What is HD?: HD stands for High Definition. HD uses more pigments that constitute a screen than Standard Definition (SD), allowing you to enjoy beautiful images, even on a large screen.

Some customers in collective residences, who watch SKY PerfecTV! using a master antenna TV system, may be unable to view some channels. In addition, you will be unable to view most of the high definition channels provided by SKY PerfecTV! HD using a master antenna TV system other than that specified, as SKY PerfecTV! What is an IC card?

This is a card retaining the registration data for each customer. A SKY PerfecTV! HD-enabled tuner will not work with any IC card other than that packaged with the tuner.

The right of ownership of the IC card

SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation has the right of ownership of the IC card. The card contains the viewing history of each customer. Do not transfer it to third parties without permission.

Loss and theft of and damage to IC cards

If you discover that your card is missing, stolen or damaged, contact the SKY PerfecTV! Customer Center immediately. Your IC card will be reissued for a handling fee of ¥4,200 including tax and transfer cost, in case said loss, theft or damage to the card is due to the fault of the owner. Please return all unusable IC cards to SKY PerfecTV!

You can find the IC card slot by sliding an IC card on the front or side of the tuner or opening the cover towards you.

*	The IC card slot varies, depending on the manufacturer or machine type. Check your instruction manual.

Try various channels during the 16-day free trial period.

Some customers in collective residences who use a master antenna TV system (community antenna) may be unable to view some channels.

You may contract for any number of channels from one (and) upward.
Economical “Packs & Sets”, which compile several combinations together in a package, are also available.

Please fill in the desired commodity codes* or “Packs & Sets” codes you selected and other
necessary information on the application form, seal or sign the form and mail it to us.

For payment, please choose either “payment by credit card” or “automatic direct debiting
from your bank account”.

Please complete the registration procedure early as the 16-day free trial period continues
even after the procedure is completed.

<Customers wishing to view adult-oriented programs>

Please enclose a photocopy of a document certifying that you are over 20 years of age with the application form completed with your name, address and telephone number registered, your customer number and IC card number, and send it to us. For details, refer to Adult-oriented programs.

About commodity codes:

Channel codes are required, not only for registration application but also for any alternation to the contracted terms and conditions after the initial registration is completed. All channels offered have their own specific codes. Check “SKY PerfecTV!, List of Channels and Packs & Sets”.

Registration will be completed within a week from the day following your posting of the application form. If you make an application from our website, it will be completed on the day of application or within two days.

(If you do not fill in your information correctly, it may take longer.)

We will inform you of the completion of your registration via “Satellite Mail”. Be sure to check the content of your contract. If you do not receive a “Satellite Mail” notifying you of the completion within a week of applying, please contact our Customer Center.

		*	To receive the Satellite Mail, permanent connection of your receiver and insertion of the IC card are required.

What is Satellite Mail?
This is a function that allows SKY PerfecTV! to send a “Notice to Customers” to your receiver.

The means of reading the mail varies, depending on the receiver in use. For details, refer to the instruction manual of your receiver.

Before you connect a SKY PerfecTV! HD-compatible tuner, we request you to perform the procedure for migrating your contract information (changing your IC card) by calling the Customer Center at 0570-039-888 or using either of the following methods: (Available only in Japanese)

*	If you call our Customer Center, the migration procedure will be complete in a few hours. If you use the toll free dial-up service or our website, you can view programs from 10:00 AM of the following day onwards if the procedure is completed by 24:00.
*	Have your current IC card number, the IC card number of the SKY PerfecTV! HD-enabled tuner, and your (10-digit) customer number to hand when performing the procedure.
*	You will no longer be able to use your existing tuner after completing the migration procedure.





In addition to the channels you currently subscribe to, you can view high definition channels, except PPV, adult-oriented and other channels, for 16 days free of charge. We hope that you will consider new subscription to the high definition channels or “Packs & Sets”.




When you have selected high definition channels or “Packs & Sets” you can make an application using any of the following methods:

You must perform the channel application procedure before you can newly view high definition channels.
Note that the currently contracted channels remain in effect unless you perform the cancel procedure.
